I enjoy making portraits, mainly of people I imagine. I start and finish quickly letting my hand do the thinking, a technique I use to be more impulsive and instinctive. There’s something about the freshness and speed of line making that I like. Other sketches shown here are plucked from the past. These can often recall a memory more effectively than a photograph.
